Old Time Photos @ the PNE

Jim, Alexandra, Dylan and myself (left Camryn with Grandma and Grandpa) joined Nicole, Sam and Jack for a trip to the PNE on Sept 2nd...Nicole does an annual family picture @ the Old Time Photo Studio so we decided to do one as well...we had a blast...Nicole and I also had our Characture(sp) done...the kids played games...well, so did us big ppl...the first game we played I won a Crazy Frog and the 2nd one we played Jim won a big Pink Poodle for Camryn...we had some great food and got to listen to Johnny Reid perform as well...was a great night...

Camping in Castlegar @ Syringa Park

This was taken on one of our rest stops...the first one to stretch our legs...

A really UGLY bug that flew at me when we were out and about...was not a fun moment for me...

Auntie Ali and Dylan clowning around at the Playground...

Dylan, Camryn and Alexandra sitting around the fire pit...And YES, we were allowed to have a Campfire...made up for our raining camping trip to Golden Ears in July when we weren't allowed fires...

Alexandra and Camryn just chilling on Auntie Ali's hammock...Camryn is getting down to some tunes...And yes, that is a monkey on her back lol...the only way to keep her safe and sound...

We woke up really early the morning of Aug 22 and set out for our 8 hour drive to Castlegar...things were going smoothly considering we had 3 sleepy, cranky kids until Camryn decided she was going to get car sick...that was fun lol...now we have 3 kids that we will need to drug up with Gravol to prevent car sickness...they did behave though which was great considering this was our first really long car ride...we did do the trip up to Salmon Arm twice last year which I thought was long enough lol...
Arrows lake was absolutely beautiful...I do have a picture but didn't post...was a little on the glacier cold side but we all managed to go swimming including Camryn...we went on a couple of hikes and just did a lot of relaxing...we saw plenty of Deer, Elk and a Mountain Goat...no Bear which was disappointing to the kids...I would like to maybe go back again next year...

Camping in Castlegar @ Syringa Park continued

Alexandra, Big Kamryn and Dylan at the Campground playground...they spent so much of our 5 days just hanging out there, catching Grasshoppers and looking for Gophers...

Speaking of Gophers...the one we did see...they had holes everywhere...

Our Campsite...was nice and big...the only downfall, WASPS everywhere...put a bit of a damper on all of our moods...

Camryn and Kamryn...My Sis' friend's daughter...

Alexandra and Kamryn became fast buds...was happy she has someone else to hang out with, other than Dylan...sometimes they get on eachother's nerves LOL

This was after a few to many glasses of wine...the 3 of us slow dancing to country music...

Jim and I...both a little tipsy...and you all know I am soooo not much of a drinker...

Jack, Dylan, Alexandra, Sam and Camryn posing on some carved chairs...was a great photo op for the kids...we had a great 2 nights and 3 days with them...what a wonderful way to end our 5 day camping trip to Castlegar...
