Old Time Photos @ the PNE

Jim, Alexandra, Dylan and myself (left Camryn with Grandma and Grandpa) joined Nicole, Sam and Jack for a trip to the PNE on Sept 2nd...Nicole does an annual family picture @ the Old Time Photo Studio so we decided to do one as well...we had a blast...Nicole and I also had our Characture(sp) done...the kids played games...well, so did us big ppl...the first game we played I won a Crazy Frog and the 2nd one we played Jim won a big Pink Poodle for Camryn...we had some great food and got to listen to Johnny Reid perform as well...was a great night...

A really UGLY bug that flew at me when we were out and about...was not a fun moment for me...

We woke up really early the morning of Aug 22 and set out for our 8 hour drive to Castlegar...things were going smoothly considering we had 3 sleepy, cranky kids until Camryn decided she was going to get car sick...that was fun lol...now we have 3 kids that we will need to drug up with Gravol to prevent car sickness...they did behave though which was great considering this was our first really long car ride...we did do the trip up to Salmon Arm twice last year which I thought was long enough lol...

Arrows lake was absolutely beautiful...I do have a picture but didn't post...was a little on the glacier cold side but we all managed to go swimming including Camryn...we went on a couple of hikes and just did a lot of relaxing...we saw plenty of Deer, Elk and a Mountain Goat...no Bear which was disappointing to the kids...I would like to maybe go back again next year...

Camping in Castlegar @ Syringa Park continued

Speaking of Gophers...the one we did see...they had holes everywhere...



Our Campsite...was nice and big...the only downfall, WASPS everywhere...put a bit of a damper on all of our moods...

Camping @ Golden Ears...

I picked up these great flashlight hats from the Dollarama for the kids for a $1...they loved them...well Alexandra and Dylan did anyways lol

Grandpa Bob and Grandma Carol came out Monday for lunch...they even brought it which was extremely appreciated...the kids had fun playing with them etc...

Camryn tried sneaking out of the tent a few times...she really wanted to be in the dirt and rain...I needed a break from her getting all dirty and wet...she was NOT impressed with being locked away in the tent..but sometimes they just need to suck it up lol

Auntie Lori came Tuesday night for a dinner of Drunk Chicken, Corn on the Cob and Baked Potatoes...if anything we always eat good when camping even in the pouring rain...

We didn't get to enjoy the whole camping experience this time because of the Campfire ban but all in all we had a good time considering...

We are off...

Wish us luck lol..we are off to Golden Ears for a few days of roughing it...hopefully they will drop the fire ban...will post pics when we get home...

Raspberries

Jim found a spot with Raspberries ripe for picking so we took a drive up on Saturday...the kids had fun, so did Jim...
