Date night... What?

When we got home from our first date night since Camryn has been born we were given a letter from Camryn( Grandpa wrote it on behalf of her)...This is what it said...

Sooooo, I decided to have a nap without my usual fuss. Mom and Dad are having a date night, but Mom's NOT happy. Something about some friend coming a long after having been away for many months. Now you'd think she would be happy to see an old friend. Well, I guess adults are odd. So where was I, Oh yea asleep when Grandma wakes me up. Why the heck would you wake a sleeping baby, especially me !?! Grandma said" you 're going on your first rescue mission, your Dad's car broke down on the highway." Well, next thing I know we are jumping in the Santa Fe and we're off. Can you imagine, I'm not even a year old yet and me and Grandma are racing down the freeway. It looked like Grandme and me were old pro's at this. We got there to find Mommy and Daddy, Auntie Ali and O'brien waiting not so patiently. We traded cars and they were off to try and make it to the Canucks game. After the tow truck got there we let Grandpa drive home and me and Grandma talked about out first road rescue all the way home.

Well, I knew that our date night wasn't going off on a good start when I woke up yesterday morn with a nasty head cold and my friend Camryn was talking about.( my long overdue period) We had plans to have dinner with Alison(my sis) and one of her friends then head over to the Canucks game. Well, Jim's car decided to break down in Surrey. Smoke everywhere( thankful no fire). We waited 45 mins for the RESCUE RANGERS to trade vehicles now only having enough time to drop off O'brien and pick up Skye. No dinner. We finally made it to the game having minutes to find our seats. Grabbed a quick bite at the game that only cost us $28. YIKES. Then some dink beside me decides that it would be funny to spill his beer on and in my purse. And to make the night even better the Canucks lost. I tell ya, lucky I love the guy lol. So our free date night( gift card for dinner and free tickets ) now has cost us so far...$28 for dinner, $89.25 for the tow , $30 for spark plugs and we still don't know what is wrong with the car. It is currently sitting at Car Care for testing in the morn. Anyways, I am thankful that we weren't hurt and still managed to spend some time alone. Hoping that the next date night will be better lol
